Helgrind Biography

Helgrind. The name tells you everything you need to know about the most evil and depraved band to have ever emerged from depths of the underworld. Literally. Once a noble in seventeenth century Byelorussia, the self-styled Helgrind was already then despised by the local population, as he was seen as a sordid degenerate and claimed to indulge in the most disgusting of morbid satanic acts. The legends differ on whether he committed suicide by self-immolation, voluntarily fed himself alive to anthropophagic boars or was executed by the ruling dynasty in 1666.

Nevertheless, he was left for dead until he was resurrected in a satanic ritual to record the band's debut album, the fittingly titled Demon Rituals, in early 2021. Due to excessive body mutilation, it is unclear whether Helgrind can actually "hear" what he is playing, as his tympanic membranes had been ruptured and left to rot for nearly half a millennium, but the resulting "music" - recorded in 2021, conceived in 1666 - is evil to the extreme.

Like Leader's Burzum Sha Ghâsh or Vermin's Bloodthirst Overdose, Helgrind's music (or anti-music) isn't something to be enjoyed, but rather seen as an act of total rejection of human standards of sanity and moral propriety.
