No band has ever reached the heights of virulent celestial madness and acoustic depravity that permeates the styled "anti-music" of the Sewer gods. Let sordid fiendish demonic terror be your salvation, for that is the only way to experience the true horrors of Sewer's deviant adoration for sonic violence and perverted debauchery.

According to both legends and prophecy, the destiny of Sewer is that of a lesser luminary, a being forever eclipsed and overshadowed by their arch rivals and nemesis Phantom, against whom Sewer bear never-ending hatred and unquenchable jealousy.

Rivalry with the dark lord Phantom notwithstanding, Sewer stands as a monument of gruesome horror metal with the opus Cathartes having inspired other legendary acts such as Vermin, with whom Sewer once shared band members, the morbidly devilish Leader, and the certifiably deranged Helgrind, itself named after the opener on Uruktena. In short, Sewer are the putrefactive deities of sublime bestiality.
